Bucket List

My Bucket List. Before you read it I wanted to talk about number 7. A couple of years ago, I was in an unhealthy relationship. We were sitting in the cafeteria (we both lived in the dorms) and it was Mardi Gras, so there were purple, green and yellow decorations everywhere. I announced that I was gonna go to Mardi Gras next year and stay with my cousins. He then told me that I was never going to be able to go because I never had any money and I wouldn't be able to save enough. I was so hurt. How could the person I "loved" say something like that? Well, we broke up a few months later and I worked my butt off that year (actually I lost weight that summer too) and in February 2011, I was on a plane to Louisiana. The day I bought my plane ticket, I was so satisfied. As my mom always say, "Success is the Best Revenge."

I also learned to never let someone kill your dreams like that, even the tiniest one. You should be with someone that hears the craziest idea come out of your mouth (and thinks you may be secretly sneaking booze to think something crazy like that) but still says, "Go for it. You have the power to do it, and I believe in you."
